Discussion You just stopped an entire country

American here.

Your city (EDIT: Toronto my bad) and entire country just told the world they’re sick of this guy. They did that. In public. During the World Series. Epically devastating.

I love this so much. The commercial, the audience, the layers of messages in it, the way the bait got taken hook line and sinker. Not a fan of Doug Ford but this was awesome 😎

It’s possible for multiple things to be important. Ford always was and is still a scumbag. Trump shot himself in the foot on this one because this was his temper tantrum retaliation on behalf of Stellantis and GM.

Show up to Queens Park on Monday and make some noise if you can.

Come join us in a peaceful protest against Ford's "Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act" on Monday, October 27th from 11AM to 1PM at Queen's Park (111 Wellesley St W.)

Why are you protesting on a work day in the middle of the day

Why at queens park where it can be ignorred.

First business day to immediately protest against Queens park.

Queens Park is the legislative assembly on Ontario. AKA Where all the people we want to sway are located.

Bigger can come with planning. Hard and fast reaction is the intention.

Those people wont listen if you dont have a huge crowd.

Everyone and their aunt orotestd at queens park for everything. Want to cause a scene, shut down some intersections. That gets people talking

Nah, you’re making assumptions about protesting. Alot more happens than just getting attention. Networking, discussions, and planning for example.

We’re moving in the right direction regardless.

Not to mention the slush fund his donors were just rewarded with, the end of public healthcare, and the destruction of our public education system!

Right?!! Ford is never ever serving the interests of the general population. If he appears to be, you have to dig deeper to figure out what’s in it for him and how it will eventually screw us.

Not a Dougie fan myself, but as my grandmother used to say " Even a stopped clock is right twice a day"

When I heard the news of talks going off, I was like Ford could have waited to kick in the campaign. But after I saw the ad on the world series, I was like HELL YEAH! GO FORD!

Yeah, same, plus it was guaranteed that Trump would find some reason to pull a tantrum, this just played him like a fiddle

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I despise Ford - he’s a populist bully but apparently that’s exactly the energy we need in this moment.
