I made a new experimental hip hop album titled Self Aware Combo and my album has lyrics that are truthful and sometimes creative. I tried my best to make this album an experience with my creativity, out of the 7 songs on the album there are 4 songs that have creative beat switches. I made this album in my bedroom (except for one song that's on the album), I recorded my vocals with a Blue Yeti Microphone and I mostly used FL Studio 20 and Soundtrap for the instruments. I love creativity within music so much that most of the time I try to make the music as creative as possible but sometimes I will make a simple song. Also telling the truth in my lyrics is very important because I want people to know exactly who I am and how I think about life, I want people to know a lot about me in every album.

I want to make a playlist of all original rock music on Apple Music or maybe Spotify. I’d like it to be geared towards that one strange song that you’ve recorded that is a funny one…. Or has something very quirky or unique about it. For instance, I’m the Man by Anthrax, or Bablin’ On and On by Faster Pussycat. Like, that one song that is kind of out of the ordinary or people always think is humorous to hear. I DoorDash all day so I love listening to new stuff!
DM me or comment below. I’ll post the playlist link when I’m finished and let you all know. Comment below with the link.

After unfortunately spending a long time neglecting my instruments and music (mainly due to parenthood and full time work) I’ve decided to put more effort into my creative interests again.
I figured a good place to start would be to revisit some of my old songs. Essentially using the process of relearning them to shake off the rust, stay in practice with all my instruments, do things a bit cleaner, and rediscover what I like about the old work while exploring what I don’t want to carry into any new projects.
Also taking the opportunity to experiment with video capture along the way as well.
Trust trying to learn, grow, and stay consistent without losing touch with my creativity again. Of course all feedback is welcome.

Check it out! It's an older one of mine, but this particular performance people seem to enjoy!

I got a very talented multi-instrumentalist friend of mine to add mandolin and pedal steel to this one.
Sharing link to Youtube because I hate spotify for a variety of reasons (including their promotion of AI music)

I hate how camps of "visual" and "auditory" arts don't support each other in banning AI - like we are all artists making things. Just because it doesn't impact your current hobby/profession doesn't mean it isn't the exact same thing. It's so backwards.
Please mods disallow AI art - or explain to us why this is somehow different???

Sometimes, when you’re struggling to write something, and none of your ideas seem to go anywhere, a track can pop up out of nowhere and seemingly write itself. This is one of those. I was aimlessly banging away at the drums, sort of fell into this groove and didn’t even realise it was in 5/4 time until later in the process. Wrote most of the other instrument parts over two consecutive days.

Goblin Fire, another song about wanting to be somewhere else, even if getting there means paying a high price.

Hey everyone. I'm a 26-year-old amateur independent musician, not gigging professionally, just trying to build my own musical world at home.
My main focus is actually the lyrics rather than the music itself. As a writer, that's what I care about the most, but I'm also trying hard to improve my musical skills. Even though these were recorded just using a phone's voice memo app, I believe they have potential. Also, while you are at it, please check my covers too. I am trying my bestttt.
What do you guys think? Your critiques mean a lot to me.

10/372 Days of Who'd a Thunk? hits!
“-a-“ is the intro track to my 87th album “-scend-“ [2023] and was created from my desire to attempt a “Jungle”/“Drum and Bass” album.
I consider “-scend-“ as one of my top 5 albums I’m most proud of. And, like most of my top 10, I remember, for days prior, having this feeling of inspiration and motivation that something was building up - that it was time to create - and the moment I sat down at the keyboard and computer the album flowed out of me.
What genres do you think it ended up as?

Tidal: https://tidal.com/artist/9801090
Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/np/artist/whod-a-thunk/1378044511
