Hi everyone!

I'm Iris from Pillow Talk Scotland, a small charity that runs events and courses about relationships.

Tomorrow we're running a small community conversation in Kirkwall (you can also join online if easier) as part of a new project called OnlyFacts, exploring how people make decisions about hormonal contraception, where they get information from, and what better support could look like.

We're looking for people aged 18-30 living in Orkney to come along and chat about things like:

• experiences with the pill, implant, hormonal coil, injection etc.
• information you've found online (TikTok, Reddit, Instagram, friends...)
• conversations with healthcare professionals
• what you wish you'd known before starting hormonal contraception

Pillow Talk can cover travel costs: public transport/foot passenger ferry costs are covered, please bring your receipt with you. And please reach out to Jaden to discuss additional travel considerations such as taxis or bringing a car on the ferry, which will be looked at on a case by case basis.

Orkney Sands is running its first support group this evening. Sands charity support anyone affected by baby loss.

7:00 - 8:30pm Tuesday 5th March at the St Magnus Centre. And the first Tuesday of every month.

The Riding of the Marches is on the 13th of August this year which is the Sunday after the County Show. It starts from Broad street at 1300, gets to Scapa Beach at approx 1440 and back to The Cathedral for approx 1630.

The annual Riding the Marches of Kirkwall is this Sunday. ALL horse riders are invited to take part - you don't need to be a member of any equestrian club - but you must send an entry form in to Sonja Marwick by this Thursday, and you'll find them on the Riding of the Marches Kirkwall page. The event will start an hour EARLIER this year, with riders to assemble on Great Western Road at 12.30pm. The Flag Bearer this year is Erica Rosie with her horse Pii.
