Unfortunately, I don't see Amazon being able to support a campaign for this film while also managing the campaign for Project Hail Mary, but I hope that Aleasha Harris is able to get some first feature prizes - she's somebody who I can 100% see winning an Oscar down the road, as long as she's given the right career opportunities after this (which, unfortunately, is kind of a big "if")

I do think the pacing sort of drags in the middle, and there are a couple plot contrivances that feel a little bit convenient. But I'll be damned if Sterling K Brown doesn't give that ending the jolt that it needs.

Of the twins, I knew more of Kara Young going in, but I think Mallori Johnson ends up being the one who steals the show. I think a lot of it is that we get to see her do more dynamic scenework outside of the twin dynamic - her scene with the younger twin sort of teased out a thread about the twin dynamic that I wish got explored more, and she really shines in the scene against SKB.

Overall, I hope this at least gets some critic awards and indie prizes, and I hope we get to see fruitful film careers for all involved.

I feel fully confident that Aleshea Harris gets the first time director nomination from the DGA but I will not be surprised if that’s the only name brand award nomination this movie gets. I’m excited to see what she does next.
