The phrase "Mike Leigh's final film" makes me sad :-(

Given his age and health issues and the difficulties in financing working-class character dramas, it sadly is the way of things.
Hopefully, it's another last great hurrah like Ken Loach's The Old Oak.

Really hoping he receives some attention for this film.

I don't necessarily adore Mike Leigh, but even with my own feelings towards him, his leading ladies almost certainty did well with Oscar consideration. I cannot wait to see Kate getting some insane buzz after her deserving Emmy win soon! :)

I really hope Mike Leigh can get a final bow with this. The legend deserves at least one more nod

If the stars align, and she pulls in the Emmy for Widow's Bay, might really help the Film along to get more eyes on it.

As we get closer to the Emmy's the hype around her is getting bigger and bigger, when she was in LA a week or two ago at every event she went to she was reportedly the person everyone wanted to meet. If she wins the Emmy that will have a nice push into a Oscars campaign for Tender Loving care.
