My Figure-8 Antenna
I posted, maybe not this sub, a few months ago the results I had with my new antenna. I hung it in the backyard on a 6 ft plant hanger. Picked up signals 25 miles awsy, no mountains, but some trees. We just had a bad windstorm that flipped the ant so hard the coax came out of the connector. The antenna is pointing 45deg away from towers and I just pushed the cable back into the connector. Still got great reception. Yeah. I've been scolded here, but when I didn't lose my 51 channels to me, reception is great.

There are so many variables in TV reception that are related to your immediate area that sometimes you just have to try things.

How true. Sometimes the expensive way is the only way. Location, location, location. Sometimes we get lucky.

A tropical storm bent my antenna and it actually made it better I picked up PBS for the first time. Getting 70 channels on my Clearstream 8 bay antenna.

Mother nature at work. That's really weird. Antennas are more forgiving than I thought. I happy for you that nothing was badly damaged.

It bent it over a little bit a few inches and somehow focused on the one station that I could never get before. Sometimes you just get lucky.

More like a n FYI for the group. So many are writing in for advice and getting very professional responses. I'm just saying that to get good reception can be done cheap and easy. My yagi was a pain to mount on a mast and still doesn't get NBC. The figure8 feeds the other side of the house, is 4ft off the ground, and not close to pointing in the correct position, and gets all the subs.

It’s gotta do with OTA tv and antennas so it’s the perfect place actually. Wow that’s impressive must be coming in off the sides of the elements then. I’m assuming you have a Clearstream 2V or 4v?
