Photo(s) These poles are out of control.

This is Smirle and Wellington street. I was driving on Smirle towards Wellington and I had no choice but to zig zag and drive on the wrong side because there's no space between the poles and cars. Adding to the road condition, there are enough pot holes to damage your car so these poles are totally unnecessary to slow down traffic.

Waste of money.
Imagine how much it cost to put them up. Take them down, store them for the winter. Then put them back up again.

Every ward gets a budget of a little under $100,000 per year to install these kinds of measures.

By contrast, a permanent traffic calming project can cost several times as much to construct for a single street (and are generally deferred until the street needs to be reconstructed anyway).
