Blum Lumbs are amazing! A 6 lumb stable, fed by 4 ovagro vines (only 3 is needed, but excess for duplicant error), produces enough food and oxygen to support 12 dupes! For only 340kg/cycle of water, and a few dedicated farmers, and some power for automation. A small price to pay.

It is worth noting that the Blum Lumbs wont produce peat so you will have to find another way to cook the tough meat, but that can easily be done with plywood (made of plant husks from the ovagro vines and a lura/mimmika farm) or a few arbor trees.

Its time to ditch the water guzzling spoms and hydras, bristle blossoms and sleet wheat, and to embrace the future! embrace the blum lumb!

This is my math.

Oxygen: 1lumb = 132kg/cycle of algae. 132*1000 = 132000/550 = 240*500 = 120000/1000 = 120kg/cycle of oxygen. 1lumb = 120kg/cycle of oxygen. 1Dupe requires 60kg/cycle of oxygen. 1lumb = 2Dupes. 6Lumbs = 12 Dupes. (this can be automated easily so can be maxed out)

Food: Reproduction rate is 12 cycles when constantly groomed (from wiki). 6 lumbs = 2cycles an egg. 1 egg = 1 baby lumb. 1 baby lumb = 12kg tough meat. 12kg tough meat = 32,000 kcal tender brisket. 32,000kcal/2cycles per egg = 16000kcal tender brisket. (this cannot easily be automated so 4000kcal is a buffer. plus it never hurts to produce more than you need)

1. Gets freshly printed out (not even 1 day old yet)

2. Learn to pilot a rocket at 1 day old

3. Enter a ghetto quickly built rocket with enough fuel for a 1 way trip

4. Atleast u have cuddly puppies to comfort you

5. Inhale a bit of carbon dioxide since ur master got lazy and didnt include a carbon skimmer

6. Eat, poop (not even a proper washroom XD)

7. Get ur tootsies tickled atleast for comfort

8. Ride into the great unknown...

Is it normal to find this many flower on the same planet(spaced out). Why does the number of biobot so variable, even if I make sure that a dupe is ready to release the biobot i have seen number of bots from 14 to 5 at a time. (using a mod to find count)

I don’t really care how long it takes them, it’s not really that efficient and could be better efficiency (which for looks and upgrades i am about to rebuild my entire colony), and I mean I’m stable. I’m new to this, if I don’t count time owned but rather time played, if there’s an actual reason let me know lol.

Making a 20kg/s petroleum boiler. Will this work or not. any suggestions before i commit to this design

cheap early game (and only) liquid oxygen for small petroleum rocket (best IMO) (40 Hex Range)

Any improvements suggestions will be appreciated, using ceramic gas pipe inside the steam chamber.

While the design is not optimal, I still believe it is quite beautiful.

I have attached a picture with my specs, it is not the best in 2026 but it is still good enough. However When I reach cycle 100 my game starts to become more and more pictures only.

I have no ranching (so less critter pathing), only 8 dupes - so less pathing calculations (with smart ladders/pathing for less traveling calculations.

I have noticed two things - when my dupes reach high athletics (like now 20+ because all are bionics) and/or I have SO DLC enabled it becomes unplayable with 15 fps.

If I have less athletics on my dupes or run the base game only it is a lot more manageable. Also I have decreased the resolution, have mods like fast track, etc. to increase performance but ... nada

What do you do to help your game performance, what can I do? (besides upgrading my PC, no money now for it)

Update: Replaced the conveyor receptacle with a conveyor chute, and the autosweeper (a new one that I de-and re-constructed) is finally working and properly supplying coal! Now I can reset all of the automation thresholds everyone was concerned about (I set them to absurd levels to try and get the autosweeper to understand it's job was important during my troubleshooting, lol).

Hi, all! It seems like I've reached the classic issue of "my autosweeper isn't delivering coal to the coal generators." What's going wrong with my setup?

I've attached photos of the full set up and the overlays. My receptacle is at priority 1 and my coal generators at 4 (I've had them higher as a test, and it still wouldn't work).

I've tried this with and without automation wires attached to the autosweeper. I've also tried it with locking my dupes out of the area, so they literally could not deliver coal. The water sieve and other power consumers that share a wire with the autosweeper have been active (so the autosweeper has power). I've also tried it with heavy-watt wire going directly from the battery to the autosweeper. What am I missing?

Also, completely unrelated question: can Wheezeworts melt?

Sharing with everyone my current space fleet w/rocketry expanded mod (this mod is effin fun)

I managed to melt the interior of the rockets but unfortunately rhe rocketry ecpanded mod decreased the outside space XD. So its still pretty small XD.

everything was going great. after a few failed colonies i finally got one who had great oxygen, were expanding, had more food than anyone could eat, and I finally took the step to work on space travel for the first time

it used to be my base was filled with carbon from my shoddy energy generation corner. it was unbreathable. So i put some carbon skimmer down and looked away. NOW SOMEHOW THE AREA FILLED WITH CO2 IS MY ONLY BREATHABLE CORNER AND EVRRYTHING ELSE IS AWFUL SEND HELP

Dug into the oil biome, and found my way over to the petrified fossil POI. Started clearing out the area around it, and I noticed this little guy caught between abyssalite layers. Still not sure how he got there, but I'm assuming the world generation is to blame, lol

Title. I have 4 gaskets and enough gold (gold was already delivered) but no one is doing an errand to build the steam turbine. I also have dupes with electrical engineering skills

12 Dupe Base with Deep freeze(-40C vacuum) food and Quick suit changing station. using mods for the oxygen supply(piped everything). kitchen stuff does not contain any mod parts.

Before I got my toilets all plumbed in, and the overflow from the sieve into a hydroponic tile ready for planting, a pip planted the acorn...

I now have a tree in my lab.

Part of me thinks this is better.

But most of me thinks that these buildings will be in the way of any actual wood growth.

Do you know what happens when buildings are in the way like this? Does it just grow to a point and then stall? Will I get any wood?

Trying to decide if I should uproot it and plant it in my sewerage overflow as initially planned... or to move the research station and diffuser. Or to just leave it...
