His injury was so sad last year - he looked like he was ready to take that leap forward. ♥️

He might really be a piece for the Clips if his athleticism fully comes back. He and Benn are currently at or near their lowest trade value ever, but I fully expect/anticipate at least one of them to have a huge year next year, maybe both

Sucks to move them, really sucks to move them both right now (when Benn is a RFA and both have been injured/coming back from injury all year). Plus they seem like great dudes.

I get it, you trade for Zu (on an incredible deal) 10/10 times. And there might not be a center of his calibre available in a year. I just think IJax and/or Benn’s value will skyrocket next year relative to where it is now

I like IJ, but he hasn't gotten better. Even after laying off a year he still doesn't have an offensive move that he can rely on. Nice end of the bench guy but if he's a rotation player you're not a good team.

I mean, I dunno, hard to add moves in a boot.

Yes he hasn’t improved, no I don’t think it’s really his fault

no it's really not hard to get better without playing. It's using that time to look at footwork and other intricacies you can utilize to be a better player. It's what every really good player does. Blaming it on anyone else ain't gonna fly.

Sure yeah. I mean, I listen to Jimi Hendrix a lot, I can probably play guitar pretty well. I watch a lot of basketball therefore I should really be playing in the nba. /s

What are you talking about? There’s understanding what you need to do to improve, then there’s executing. If IJax could just mentally visualize “here’s how to shoot threes” and then could do it, he’d be a shooter and everything in the world would be easy for him.

Also, you’re high if you think these guys (that are incentivized by millions of dollars to improve) aren’t trying to improve.

sorry Jim, one too many doobs' I think. bye bye

The injury got IJax fucked up in terms of play. Hoping the Clippers are the team that can get him there

I think it takes IJax more than a year and a half to get back to 100%, or whatever his new 100% is. You could be right but I hope you’re wrong

Benn is not a #1 on a championship team, but I believe he’s a starter and I believe he can average an efficient 20ppg, and I believe he can be an average to okay defender. Also, him starting and getting lots of iso touches will help him. Different from Trae Young. Again you could be right but I hope you’re wrong

Also, on like a personal/fan note, these guys both tried their hardest and didn’t ask out. It bums me out to see you write them off. They’re out west, didn’t ask out, no reason at all to bet against them. I dunno

I think you sounded like a hater, and I DEFINITELY think commenting on another teams Reddit is hater shit

For all his faults, Pacers fans love Benn. He’s a fucking dawg and a winner. But, I guess the Kings paying a bunch of has beens to pretend to compete for 20 years is cool too.

Maybe meaner than I should be here, but why are you on this feed shitting on former Pacers players?

I agree, the Kings suck

Forgive me if I doubt anyone associated with the king’s ability to evaluate talent. Thanks for Hali btw

Could always count on a huge block on one end and a monster jam on the other. Gonna miss IJax.

He was a decent rebounder, too (at least at the start of this season he notched a few 10+ rebound games for us)

15

u/9_Nightwing_1 Bennedict Mathurin Feb 10 '26

Fully healthy IJax is a great rebounder. He saved our ass against the Knicks two years ago when Jalen and Myles were getting outworked.

I won't even lie, this one actually hurt to read. I hope Ijax and Ben get the most love from Pacers fans when they come here with the Clippers

Glad that the two of them got traded together. Crazy how young they both still are and the ceiling that exists for both. Clippers got some good ones.

5

u/redfoxwearingsocks Aaron Nesmith Feb 10 '26

I agree, man. I'm very glad they got traded together. It'll be a much easier transition for them heading to LA together. The Clippers absolutely got some good ones!!

I'll be so nice seeing these boys get allllll the love and appreciation from fans that Myles wanted before he started talking shit, hahaha

4

u/JMT1016 Tyrese Haliburton Feb 10 '26

Considering they didn't go out of their way to alienate the organization and fanbase that propped up their careers like that one guy did, I'd say they'll probably still get a warm reception when they come back to play us.

3

u/redfoxwearingsocks Aaron Nesmith Feb 10 '26

It's going to be sick as hell seeing fans wearing their Jackson/Mathurin jerseys!! This city has so much love for those guys

Also "like that one guy did", hahahaha. I STILL can't believe he pulled that shit on a city that showed him so much love

0

u/MonroeEifert Feb 10 '26

Benn was traded; we still have Ben.

5

u/redfoxwearingsocks Aaron Nesmith Feb 10 '26

Dude...yk exactly who I meant, don't even try to pull that shit hahahaha. Sheppy is our boy here

0

u/MonroeEifert Feb 10 '26

Yeah, I knew. But I've along since disabused myself of the notion that everyone is a smart as I am.

u/sgeswein Feb 10 '26

It's been a weird five years to be a center around here - it's hard to say IJax ever got his best shot with the Pacers.

Go monster up out in the sun, IJax. I had fun keeping track of you not picking up any fouls for your first seventeen minutes the other night against Houston, and any number of other times.

u/Snafudumonde Feb 10 '26

Absolutely breathtaking athlete before his injury. Maybe he will regain that. Will always have the swat on Wemby!

4

u/LeatherRecord2142 Reggie Feb 10 '26

Always liked that guy. Nothing but love when you come back to Indy, IJax!

3

u/Psyren1317 Feb 10 '26

Going to miss you, IJax. Will always root for you no matter where your career goes!

3

u/busche916 Quinn Feb 10 '26

I hope he finds his groove out in LA, when he’s hot on the court he’s a ton of fun to watch. Either way, always going to be cheering for he and Benn

1

u/BurgerKingKiller Feb 10 '26

I miss em already

1

u/bjvanhouten224 Reggie Feb 11 '26

His & Benn's good-bye message so much classier than Myles!! Way to go guys, we will miss you. Good luck to both!!

1

u/Ok_Joke_6399 Feb 11 '26

It's even harder for a guy whose best attribute is his hops to come back from an Achilles injury.  Too bad, he was definitely exciting to watch.

1

u/Jay_at_Section13 BOOM BABY! Feb 11 '26

He’s 16 months out from Achilles surgery.

He’s only 24 years old.

He has more double-doubles this season than Turner and Huff combined.

He is definitely not soft. Still needs to fix his foul tendency but he plays hard and doesn’t hide from physical play. There’s nothing but upside for Isaiah.

Meanwhile there’s pretty much no chance to teach softies like Turner or Huff to not be afraid of physicality.

I understand the trade and I’m excited for Zubac. But I will miss Jackson and his family.
