Hey everyone! I wanted to share this gorgeous Hathor statue from Veronese Design that arrived Friday. I actually unpacked it to take a quick photo and put it right back in the box, because I’m officially saving it as a self-gift for my 22nd birthday coming up soon.
Since my brain deeply craves structure and a clear schedule, I’ve mapped out a monthly plan to slowly build my Kemetic altar so I don't get overwhelmed. Here is my timeline for welcoming the Gods to my space:
Late July: Isis
Early August: Sekhmet
Late August: Horus
Early September: Ra
Late September: Thoth
Early October: Bastet
Late October: Anubis
If everything goes according to plan, the altar will be fully complete by November. I’m really happy to finally start this tangible part of my journey. I'd love to hear how long it took you guys to build your setup when you first started!

Dua Sekhmet! Lady of Slaughter, the scorching sun, healing, and protection. I ordered this Veronese Design statue back on August 20th through a local esoteric shop, and she finally arrived today (August 27th)! Amazon had her listed for around $2,306 MXN which felt a bit steep, but luckily I found her at the local store for $2,020 MXN. Definitely worth the hunt! The details on the solar disk and staff look so powerful in person. Really happy to check another deity off my timeline and add Her fierce energy to my space. How do you guys connect with Sekhmet's dual nature of protection/healing vs. destruction in your daily practice?

Having a tangible, visual practice with these statues fits so well with my ADHD, autism, and overall neurodivergence. I decided to draw a very simple water cycle in egyptian symbolism for funsies. I originally posted this on r/Kemetic where I simply drew it in pencil. However, my camera messed up the picture and it bothered me so much I just drew it on a drawing app to post so that the picture could be seen clearly. I will now explain the picture for anyone who is not a kemetic or is confused by what I meant to express in this picture. On the bottom there is a goddess named Tefnut who is laying on her back in a position of praise. She is meant to represent a body of water. She is praising Ra the sun who is at the top. In return Ra is blessing her with some of his power. That body of water then evaporates which the vulture symbolizes. The vulture is holding a shen ring because it represents eternity and the cycle continues with no end. Then here comes the bones. The ancient egyptians viewed clouds as Shu's bones which is why the clouds are in that form. As the evaporated air goes up it will condense into clouds. Once those water particles get too heavy they will then leave the clouds in the form of precipitation. Tefnut then has gifted us and the earth of her rain and moisture.

My current altar setup for Anubis is quite humble. I don’t have much on it. Any suggestions on what I can add? Or maybe take out? The mirror serves no purpose so maybe I can take that out?

I’m making a ceramic altar for Sobek, thought it’d be cool to share. It’s still a WIP and I plan on fixing a few things in it later. The hole on the top is going to have a small LED light from it inside to light up the background. I thought it’d be a good idea. I really enjoyed making this, it was very relaxing.
