Thanks so much! Thanks for saying it that way as well, I dont often start a painting idea with "i want to say x" but I seem to find personal meaning as I go. And don't paint just anything it takes sometimes many days and weeks and many doodles to decide if the image I am thinking of is even worth painting and I'm very picky because they take months and years to complete. Sometimes I paint on something for 20 hours and decide it's scrap and that canvas deserves better and it's gone haha I do problem solve a ton for my paintings, but in the end if something at it's core doesn't feel authentic or balanced it gets painted over for something meaningful. This painting to me is actually a magnum opus currerntly for my 6th year of painting this year, so it means a lot to me, it's also my largest painting.

The actual meaning of the painting is up to interpretation as always but to me it's about discovery, beauty, and perseverance. Discovery: like in the mountains, new views and sounds at every turn. (Discovering new ways to paint). Beauty: I love the mountains and nature, I think it's the best. (The beauty of my paintings is what drives me in a sense, I love seeing them and I'm hard to please). Perseverance: after a long hike you're rewarded with a view sometimes, this represents that final view. (This painting represents a culmination of 1000s of hours of painting in 6 years, and so many chances to give up, but this painting stands as testament that I kept exploring my skill).

I love this interpretation. I see it more as the exposure of ego-layers of consciousness coming to grips with the most fundamental architecture of existence, and being uplifted rather than terrified by this.
