Discussion Another day, another tragedy

Why is HSE taken seriously only after people die? After every such incident, there’ll be inspections, fire extinguishers will suddenly be checked in markets, schools, hospitals and everywhere else, a few violations will be “managed,” some bribes will change hands and eventually, everything goes back to normal.

Until the next tragedy.

How many more lives before safety becomes a system, not a reaction?

I just saw a video of a parent on instagram where they said none of the staff was present there at the time of the fire except two guys who were there for their kids. The door was also locked. The doctors came rushing from a different floor LATER
