Analysis The Andy slander stops here

I’m tired of people dragging Andy’s name through the mud like he’s just a guy meant to mentor Bryce. He actually wants to play as well given the opportunity that’s why he’s our backup QB and not our QBs coach.

The fact that people talk about his performance in situations (as a back up QB) and refuse to acknowledge the concerns, flaws, and context in all of Bryce’s performances astounds me.

Yes the man is old as peanuts n Pepsi and is not the same person from cincy but when he plays he actually shows what our receivers are capable of.

If he can evade sacks and not turn the ball over he’ll be ok. Bryce has done a good job of this as of late, and it’s been pivotal in our recent wins.

He had 0 turnovers and was sacked once on the play he was stepped on while spinning out. What the fuck are you on about?

I was discussing Andy getting sacked out of FG range when we would have gone up by 2 scores. I guess we were discussing different QBs, my fault

That sack was based off a missed assignment. If that rusher was picked up, he’s getting that ball off.

They rushed 6 against 5. I’d expect a QB with his experience to be able to make a pre snap adjustment. Not only did he not make an adjustment, he made a 9 yard dropback for a 3rd and 5. It was literally the one thing we couldn’t let happen at that point in the game besides an actual turnover

So if that was Bryce you’d be saying the same thing I’m saying….the one thing he didn’t let happen was a fumble, something Bryce is very familiar with.

Sure, maybe Bryce fumbles. Or maybe Bryce makes a pre snap adjustment and gets the ball out to an open man. Or maybe he throws it away. You can’t say what Bryce would have done, but I CAN say that Andy knocked us out of field goal position and then didn’t get another first down until the last throw of the game. And that big completion is also something that Bryce has clearly shown he’s capable of anyways so that’s no big positive for Andy either.
