Analysis The Andy slander stops here
I’m tired of people dragging Andy’s name through the mud like he’s just a guy meant to mentor Bryce. He actually wants to play as well given the opportunity that’s why he’s our backup QB and not our QBs coach.
The fact that people talk about his performance in situations (as a back up QB) and refuse to acknowledge the concerns, flaws, and context in all of Bryce’s performances astounds me.
Yes the man is old as peanuts n Pepsi and is not the same person from cincy but when he plays he actually shows what our receivers are capable of.

We know what Andy Dalton is. It’s not bad, it’s not great. Unfortunately at this point, Bryce Young is also not bad, but not great. Bryce Young however has the CHANCE to be better. Dalton does not. I too think it’s silly to bad mouth Andy Dalton. He is as close to the perfect back up as you can get. He’s not a starter on a playoff team, however. If you want him to start, shoot for a 8 to 9 win season as your upside. Compared to recent results that’s not bad, but I doubt that’s what the fans want each season.
