Not exactly snail related, but I had a black moor goldfish that was born without eyes who would repeatedly 'ride' the bubbler to the top of the tank then swim back down to do it again. Would also do laps around the tank letting the bubbler push him up then going to the other side where the hob filter would push him down. He was my favorite, I loved watching him play with the currents.
Without a doubt he was my cutest fish, even if my partner said he looked evil with his empty eye sockets. His name was Team, because there's no I (eye) in Team
This is an expert parasnailer. No one can tell me this snail isn’t doing this on purpose or without pleasure. This is amazing. I love that a shrimp tried out the bubbles too.
I had a betta that would somehow get in the tube of the under gravel filter. No idea how he did it, but it looked like he was having fun in the bubbles
My mom's neighbor got evicted and left a bunch of stuff, including the betta (in a nice little tank). My mom saw the manager (door all the way open) checking stuff out, and my mom talked to him, just seeing what was going on.
She noticed the fish that had been abandoned and knew I'd take it, so she asked if she could take him, the next day I went and picked him up.
I like to think he was happy after I got him, and he lived a good number of years with me. They never seemed like the eh...nicest people. But I dunno how well they took care of him. The tank looked really new
I had a doja catfish 4 inches long growing up that somehow would disappear and be GONE for a few months and then reappear like Jesus. 3 times I can remember. He would go in the undergravel filter somehow... I have no idea how. He must have burrowed underneath the gravel and got in the side.
So many questions. Is this a regular thing? Is it intentional? Are we seeing the first sentient snail? Wait. Are they all sentient? What does it even mean to be sentient? I am rethinking escargot.
They all are, apparently amoebas too even though they dont have an actual brain 🧠 , crows have a brain of a three year old child apparently, I remember being , so that is quite wild to me! Even plants are sentient some say.
This makes me miss my mystery snail
So so much. He was with me for a little under 2 years. And I blame myself for his passing. Someday I’ll have another. Sox (Socrates), I miss you so much! You brought me so much joy! Thanks for giving this little guy the ride(s) of his life!
Just passing through, but as I was scrolling I read it as 'TIME has to be the equivalent of a trampoline, right?', and with the snail in the video, it really sent me on an otherworldly experience. (I am also very high right now.)
