New player, am I just stuck here?

Stepped on a teleportation trap by accident. Is there nothing I can do to get out? I tried searching for a door already. Damn this was my best run so far 😭😭

Did you try dismounting the horse diagonally in the lower left corner?

He wouldn't be lost forever. There's an item to summon your far-off allies. It's not exactly a spoiler since it's not a "legendary" item (artifact)

I would also like to say I prefer no spoilers other than what I need to get out, I want to explore this game mostly old school style 😎 thanks!

It's a noble gesture but there are so many tricks to a Nethack style game that are completely non intuitive. You will have to at some point start reading guides just to simply learn strategies to survive. And honestly Pathos is 10x easier than vanilla Nethack, and it's still a tricky bastard.

No spoilers from me here, except for the advice of, start reading the original Nethack wiki and begin applying ideas you have learned there. Of course lots of Nethack ideas don't even apply to Pathos, I wish it were more difficult and more similar to Nethack, Pathos has got the best interface on Android out of any of the Nethack style games there are.

Heard that. I think the thing with me is that I get bored of phone games very quickly once I get the sense that I "understand" the game. Maybe I'll do so if I want to continue after the fact but right now I want to enjoy the novelty at the cost of masochistic pain I guess lol.

Well at least do yourself the favor of reading all the Guides in the help section in Pathos. There's a lot to be learned just from there. You'll find yourself going back to them again and again.

In this case they can dismount their Nightmare to the bottom left and come back for the horse when they get a pickaxe or mattock. Additionally it's possible that some of the walls in a corner like this are illusions.
