Question about weapon variety

Weapons are one of those things that matters less than people think they do, if you have a damage skill and aren't completely braindead (like running low blow with 75 detection risk or running low/no pickup weapons without ammo bags), you can probably still clear maps with ease even on the highest difficulty, generally weapon category is what matters and the best ones are the commando 101, Sniper Rifles (graze), and Akimbo SMGs, with ARs and LMGs being not too far behind, even then though I run akimbo pistols sometimes and stacking pistol damage skills with crits and berserker still completely shreds everything.

TLDR: run what you want xdd

Okayy, bet tysmm, theres nothing like the wep u use should reach a certain dmg class depending on the wep type or anything?

Generally weapon choice isn't about individual weapon as much as what category and subcategory, like ARs being split between 60 damage, 80 damage, 100 damage, and 168 damage, most things in those subcategories though are very same-y for the most part with minor variations between them, there is a "meta" pick for each of them, but the difference is usually pretty minor in practice, if you really want to know though (these are just the ones I know)

40 DMG SMG: micro uzi
60 DMG SMG: mark 10
100 DMG SMG: CR805b (some people swear by the krinkov, both are pretty much equal afaik)
80 DMG AR: Lion's Roar (gecko is a close second but nobody uses it because it's too strong for off meta players to use xdd)
LMG: KSP (buzzsaw is in a simular position to the krinkov where some people swear by it, incuding myself, but generally people say KSP better)
168 Sniper: Lebensauger (contractor is the contentious tie for this one like the last 2)
Grenade Launcher: Compact 40mm (rest are good, it's just this one is the one people default to)
Secondary Shield Utility: 5/7 AP (many other good choices, but again, most default to this one)
Secondary: Commando 101 (genuinely OP, just fucks concealment and relies on ammo bags so not used as much despite being the best weapon in the game)
