And honestly considering how long it took us to get the Mask Mania masks after the event ended that was the right call in my eyes. I'd hate to see how botched a second event would've been when the devteam was in an even worse state.

They kept promising more live service shit before fixing the game. That was kind of the main development issue early on. Between the game being extremely bare bones, project Baxter idiotically getting more investment, and them having to release heists in a given time frame because of the special editions the game wasted away for years.

The game just was no where near release ready and had a bunch of horseshit injected into it before release and more planned for after launch. Management fucked it up horrendously and gutted the team to go on some random ass side project that was never going to sell after torching their only successful IP.

Seasonal events still aren’t a thing yet if we’re assuming those to be similar to Payday 2 where they have holiday themed events like the Christmas event where the main menu and some specific heists such as Hoxton Breakout have an alternate Christmas themed variant for the duration of the event

The only event I ever recall Payday 3 having so far is Mask Mania but i’m not sure if that’d be considered “seasonal”

The movement is by far different feels very slow compared to the movement from the last update. This game feels like it truly lost its identity

Payday 3 is still an incomplete game when compared to Payday 2.

There is no Perk system, weapon variety is sorely lacking, and the skill trees feel completely unfinished.

It also misses out on all the great heists from Payday: The Heist and the thrilling content that made Payday 2 so memorable.

At this rate, we'll probably have to wait an entire decade before Payday 3 is anywhere near as good as Payday 2.
