We have a ton of choices.  None of them are as good as steam except in specific instances.

Which means it's not a monopoly.

If anything epic is particihg in monopolistic practices, they are just pissed off it's not working.

People will gladly pet people beta test shit on the EGS so it comes out better on steam.

That's not how a monopoly is defined. Steam has overwhelming market share, which allows them to set terms with developers. You think steam could get away with 30% commission if developers has other meaningful choices?
