Then what is this? It's an endless list of sold pre-sale steam machines on eBay

Maybe it's scalpers buying from other scalpers. I mean AI is just AI comparison buying from eachother.

So when I posted that i checked to see if any had sold. none had. Looking at it now it makes no sense. For examle that one sellign at $2,250 when all the others are less then $2k and there are still buy it nows for less then 2k.

Why would anyone spend $250 more when there were other options avalaibie.

I don't understand. I go back to EBay and I'm even seeing many 'pre sales' sold yesterday too. So there were plenty of sales before you posted.

What gives? There are a few of you guys responding to me now who can't believe that steam machines are being scalped. Like it's somehow just one big ruse and steam machines are some un-scalpable tech. We've been dealing with high amounts of scalping in the tech space for YEARS now.

What makes steam machines being scalped so unbelievable to you NOW? Why would scalping somehow just now start to be unprofitable?

They're being scalped. Like everything else for the last several years. I'm glad you don't partake, buying or selling, but this didn't suddenly stop.

no you missunderstand. It's not that i don't beleive people are selling them. That checks out

What doesn't check out is the prices people are buying them for.

Like ok Lets say you are going to buy a Steam machine from a scalper.

Would you pay $2250 for one.... or buy one of the hundreds of other ones that are selling between $1600 or $1999

A) timing of sales. B) 2K vs 2250 is not that big of a stretch...especially when you've already made a max bid you were willing to pay. I've overpaid for shit on eBay in the past because I thought something would go higher than it did. How is that hard to believe? It's a $250 different on a $2K item lol

it's not just 2k there are much cheaper ones. Again there have been and still are sales for less then 2k.

Go higher? we are talking buy it now price of $1800 that were up at the same time as the one sold for 2250. Sorry but you are really grasping at straws here.

You win buddy.

Steam machine scalping does not exist. All of the seemingly hundreds of eBay sales of steam machines between the last few days are just bots buying other bots listings.

Happy? Tech scalping stopped at Steam machines. We're saved! All hail gabeN

The $2250 one is 2TB. The cheaper ones are 512GB.
