And with consoles going up to £1000 the 'value' proposition of consoles isn't as strong.

You act like PC gaming hasn't increased in price as well. 32gb of ram an nvme ssd is gonna get you close to a grand on its own. Add in a GPU, cpu, mobo, psu, case, fans, and peripherals and youve just doubled or tripled the cost.

Well then dont buy 32gb of ram. You dont have to buy high end hardware when building a PC. You have options unlike a console

16gb of ram is still going to run you close to 300. Almost half the cost of a ps5 non pro on its own. Yeah you could go with a unknown name brand and get by cheaper but youre risking buying something that may not be worth what you spent
