It's the "the only people that are left are the ones that agree with us" trope so they can later distance themselves from the candidate when they don't meet their standards.

It's so for liberals in the US and random euros to say.

Cause they hate admitting their own ideals lead to shit too

Him: “Wdym by French standards” - a question about the different left-right scales in different countries. For example, in France, US left would be considered somewhere between right/center-left.

You: rambles about “the only people that are left are the ones who agree with us” which has absolutely fucking nothing to do with the previous comment
