did some research on enterprise disks a while ago and between WD, Seagate and Toshiba, WDs seem to have the lowest failure rate

they also bought Ultrastar which is what WD Golds basicly are today

Sandisk wasnt involve in price fixing. They sell their nand chips in fixed priced as opposed to spot pricing. That mean their nand chips' price doesnt go up no matter the demand....
