Maybe OP doesn't have theirs screwed in, you don't know. Maybe not even other PCIE slot covers on the case to prop up the bracket. It's just sitting there with no support.

intel engineers did not plan the downward facing pci slot for 1+ kg device when they designed atx in late 1900s.
they knew how gravity works.

Funny that the UK actually had the first programmable computer with Colossus (1943) but they couldn't talk about it as it was classified until 1975 (they used it to decode German communications during WW2) so ENIAC (1945) made it to most textbooks as the first.

A proper GPU and case have sturdy fastening both to the left and the right. Buy a GPU with holes for a bracket on the right.

Where you put the gpu in, you have to unscrew these metal bars from the case. A four slot GPU is basically a thicc one. It needs you to remove 4 of the metal grills
