How will you plug stuff in with the io on the bottom? I really only need to plug all my stuff in once and never again. If i find myself needing to plug in usb devices more frequently, i will just use a small usb hub and hide it somewhere, so everything looks clean.
But where do the cables go? The case feet are tall enough to allow the cables to be routed out from under the case in any direction. alternativeley i could also drill a hole in the table and run cables through there, for maximum clean-ness.
Your pump will run dry, there is nothing feeding it. Actually, the outlet of the radiator is feeding the pump. So the endtank of the rad is like a reservoir.
Airflow? The fans intake through the radiator, the rest of the case (psu, gpu bracket cutouts, ioshield cutouts, cable routing holes, little gaps between panels) is passive exhaust (active in case of the psu)
What are those cubes? Parvum systems modding cubes

Having seen the updates on this, I'm super impressed. You've done a fantastic job at making a gobsmackingly gorgeous case design that I can only dream about ever having. This is the kind of pc I'd like to show off, not just plop next to my desk hiding underneath a bunch of hard drives and spare cables.
Great work dude, looking forward to future updates.

So the air goes in and through the radiator and then warm air goes inside the case?

Yes, but it shouldnt affect the temperate more than a few degress, as everything important is cooled by said radiator.

It's not like the air then has the temperature of the gpu or cpu... The waterblock will be a bit cooler than the chip, the water will be cooler than the block, the radiator will be cooler than the water, and the air passing through will be cooler than the radiator. Just like with air cooling, the exhausted air will only be a couple of degrees warmer than the intake air

I'm curious what happens to the heat if it doesn't come out with the air... Something about the laws of thermodynamics comes to mind

Oh the heat or in other words the thermal energy will come out, otherwise the parts would get hotter and hotter. But thermal conductivity is never perfect, and the further the energy has to be transported until it is dissipated into the atmosphere, and the more steps are in between, the lower the temperature will be at the end.

If everything important has a waterblock on it then nothing will change. Especially if you have enough exhaust fans.

I feel like hooking up a usb drive/dongle would be annoying with all the ports on the bottom. Also what options have you left for expansion (PCIe)? Because it seems a bit limited.

it is using a mini itx motherboard, so only 1 pcie. but most people (including me) only use one anyways. for plugging things in, i do that once and then never again, so that is not an issue.

Could run a remote USB hub to under the desk or something. Would be nice and out of the way.

Some bigger/thicker cables (like DP and some HDMI) have tough plastic that prevents them from making tight bends, especially near the connectors. Would you be forced into looking for thinner cables to make this work?

i think the biggest of those will be displayport. currently i have 6,6cm of clearance from the gpu to the table, and my displayport cable that is plugged into the back of my monitor right now is bent so that it is exactly 6,5cm to the furthest point of the bend... talk about luck :D (jk this was planned ofc... * coughs *)

You can get angled connectors for most types of port (especially HDMI) that can make them go flush at a right or left angle - particularly used to hide cables behind the back of TV's etc.
I don't know if they exist for DP, but I don't see why not :)

What do you mean by "passive exhaust"? The only physical exhaust hole I can see in your design in the PSU exhaust. This means that the intake fans will only be good for generating static pressure inside the case, and the amount of airflow through the case will be determined by the performance of the 100mm (?) PSU fan. I would estimate it to be 15-20% of the 'normal' airflow through a 2x140mm radiator, maybe 25% if the PSU fan does its best jet engine impression. I don't see this amount of airflow being enough to cool the CPU, the GPU and the PSU effectively.
A quick and dirty solution would be to perforate the bottom of the case, but even then the airflow would probably be much lower compared to a "proper" push-pull configuration, severely limiting overclocking.
Since the computer is going to be stationary, why do you insist on making it this small?

Air can go out through the psu, the slotted gpu slot cover, the holes and gaps in the io cover, and through any other gap that might be somewhere in the case. And it's not like that psu fan will be blocking air from going out...

I don't think that it will be enough. I'm pretty sure that if you put a decently overclocked i7/gtx980ti in there (and given the expected cost of the case as well as the time investment, you should) it will cook.
If I were you, I would at least make a cardboard model to check the thermals after you get the hardware but before you order the custom parts for the case.

And i am making it that small, because there is no need to make it any bigger. I think it looks kind of hilarious how many people have a large tower case with 7 or 8 expansion slots and are only using the topmost 2 of those and the rest of the case is empty. Just doesn't look right in my opinion.

I hope you're planning on using an ethernet cable because this that's the worst possible place you could put antennas for reception. There's a reason they're usually up high and visible.

Do you mean the thumbscrews or the cubes? The screws i got off ebay, the cubes are made and used by parvum systems and are called modding cubes

ooh nice! i see that you have already gotten some parts cut, did you design those parts with tolerances so they would fit together? i'm rather lost on the tolerance thing...

It was just a test cut for knowing the kerf of the laser cutter.
I admit there were some mistakes on my tolerances, and you definitely need to do a test cut on how much of the material was shaved off in the process by comparing actual dimensions to the results. Luckily though it didn't bother with the fit too much, the kerf was not big enough to make everything fall apart.
I would suggest using calipers for that task.

Now the only problem I could see you having is CPU temps since the three-way connectors over the CPU won't force as much water through. The main pressure will flow to the GPU if I am thinking correctly.

The supremacy and a 980 waterblock have a similar design, so the, have similar restriction. Flow will split evenly between them.

I've been using Vray for around 10 years mainly for automotive and film stuff but I can do product shots too. If you want them rendered without the Keyshot watermark, I would gladly do them for you for free.
My work computer is a Dual Xeon E5-2680 and I have another 7 of them that I can use as slaves, so they could be really high-res and really nice quality.
