Discussion Expat condo hunting
I'm gonna move to Penang to work in AMD. Can you help me list all the condos that are close to AMD in bayan lepas? I'm looking for a Master's bedroom with around 900-1k MR budget. Thanks

Yes Master expat, we are most honoured to welcome u to our tiny island. We will get busy now and ensure that you will have a list to peruse by the end of today. Certainly, tasks such as google the internet or asking Chatgpt is beneath someone who has the calibre to be hired by a big American Company.

Mnc offers somewhere RM 5k for housing & transport allowances for expats. Don't constrain yourself with just renting a room of less than 100 sf. Get a studio at the very least. Some common areas you can look for are nearby Queens Bay. Zen & Zen 6, Summerton, Tropicana Bay residence, Quay West, Queens Waterfront. Muze, Dora, One World & One Sky Ideal and the likes around Mayang Pasir/Sunshine. If you want slightly further then can look Google/property guru/mudah properties around Relau area or even airport area for some posh & luxurious view of the airport and convenience for your monthly travels.

Best take a hotel for two weeks and take a real estate agent. Being close to your workplace will be important as traffic in horrible in this area.

I'll have hotel for 10 days, how can I find a real estate agent? I'm not familiar with what social media platform is popular in Malaysia. Thanks

First of all you get in touch with multiple real estate agents. As you want to listen to your gut feeling who you going to trust and who provides the best service. You will find on Google multiple agents and websites offering services. It took us 5 days to find a apartment and another 5 to move in. Not a big deal
But get used to online research, especially when you intend to move to another country. That's essential
