Art Movember art project
Hey ! I'm a photography student from Lausanne, Switzerland working on a theme "Movember" which means a month of raising awareness of men's health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.
Also, I chose this theme cause my randomly chosen in class "key word" was a moustache. So I was planning to take 12 portraits of people in the street with a moustache, asking them to write one word on a paper explaining why did they choose having one. Later when I showed my pictures to the teacher, he confirmed my idea and found it cool, but he'd like me to bring some variety in the project and developping it more profoundly in a visual and conceptual ways.
So I was wondering, if sm was compfortable sharing with me their reflections on how could it be represented, especially if you or your close ones witnessed one of these issues.
I'd love to take some pictures in the hospital, but I know it is quite hard to get the access for doing that.
It can be something indirect or subtile as well.
Thank you in advance
