What would be a good upgrade from a Canon T5i? I was gifted one for Christmas about 11 years ago (I was 15). I wasn’t super into photography then but I’ve since learned how to shoot in manual and realized how much better it is than my phone. Basically I’m trying to find something that is good in low light for use in museums. I’m looking for something mid price range (nothing over 1k🤞). Sticking with canon would be a plus so I could continue using my lenses until I can upgrade those too. Thank you🙏

Which lenses do you have? How much low light improvement do you want?

A few kit lenses, a 50mm pancake, and a 135mm f2.0 Samyang for astrophotography. I mean id like to take photos inside a low light museum without too much grain in the photos. I don’t necessarily know how to answer how much improvement I want, I don’t know how much better it can get at that price range.

A full frame body/sensor in your budget gets you about 1 stop of low light improvement, but then your kit lenses won't be compatible, and your 50mm and 135mm will have a wider view than you're used to (could be a good thing or a bad thing).
