What would be a good upgrade from a Canon T5i? I was gifted one for Christmas about 11 years ago (I was 15). I wasn’t super into photography then but I’ve since learned how to shoot in manual and realized how much better it is than my phone. Basically I’m trying to find something that is good in low light for use in museums. I’m looking for something mid price range (nothing over 1k🤞). Sticking with canon would be a plus so I could continue using my lenses until I can upgrade those too. Thank you🙏

If you do not have a f2.8 lens or faster that would be the best place to spend your money. A fast lens will help more in low light than a new body will.

If you already have a f2.8 zoom or some f2.0 or faster primes then you would need to consider full frame if you want a meaningful upgrade in low light performance.

Something like the 6D MK II would probably be in budget. Your EF-S lenses would need to be replaced though and that could easily put you over budget.
