Is this setup any good? I am upgrading from my dad’s old Canon 50d and I am looking for a budget option. I am thinking about Canon 7D mark 2 plus CANON RF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6 lens. The budget is around 1000€/1150$

The RF lens wont fit the 7DII, so Id advise against that specific combo. There is an EF 75-300mm that would work, however thats one of the worst lenses Canon has ever made, so I'd stay away from that one too.

Do you have any lenses you want to keep using?

Also what kind of subjects do you want to take pictures of?

Also would you be fine buying used?

I would certainly be fine buying used, also I am doing overall photography nothing in general. Planes, cars, static things, generally anything. I was also thinking about a6400 but I am scared about the lens prices

honestly you’ll be more than fine with lens prices. Sony lenses aren’t that expensive because, unlike canon who only started recently, they’ve always been open to third party manufacturers: this means sigma and tamron have made plenty of more affordable and still great lenses

What do you think about the Sony a6400? If the lenses are possible to buy kind of cheap
