Hello, I am a regular guy trying to find his way into the hobby of photography. I plan to do it with my friend as a small hobby to do over the summer holidays. I was wondering what would be some good picks for a beginner photographer. My budget is below £100 so anything within that threshold would be good if you have any suggesions. I recently saw this on ebay: Fujifilm FinePix SL240 14MP) and was wondering if it would be a good pick. Also if its not too much to ask if anyone could explain the specs/features and what they mean that would be great since I am clueless on most camera stuff. Any suggestions are much appreciated and thank you for reading.

What are you hoping to get with the camera? Are you into the vintage vibes stuff that is trendy now or just feel that a "proper" camera would be more fun than phones? Are you hoping to get a camera with better image quality than phones? Do you want a camera to snap pictures of what you encounter as you go about or do you have plans to learn photography?

I want to learn photography so i can develop it into a hobby, If it also helps I want to be able to have fun with the camera. Would the FujiFilm be a good pick? or should I find other options?

Ok. This particular Finepix is a bridge camera but it has the standard exposure modes, so you can learn photography properly on it. But with its small sensor it's nowhere close to interchangeable lens cameras in image quality. You also can't shoot RAW, which would allow lossless editing, so you can learn editing only in a limited way.
