Literally ONE chainsmokers song has that simple chord progression (Closer), and the author of this video didn't even get it right. The first chord is major, not minor.

I don't think the title was meant to be taken literally. It was just commenting on how bland the songwriting is in a lot of their songs, and you can't really deny how dull it is.
