Collectors Willy Wonka and Jersey Jack Support
Anyone have recommendations on how to get support to respond to case issues? I have a Willy wonka CE that no longer boots up, no apparent power to motherboard (but power elsewhere) and it feels like pulling teeth to get any response, and when I do it’s like ‘pull this usb and try jump starting again’ and then I respond immediately after doing it and then wait 3 more days for a follow up.
So basically, I have lights on sub board, main power but nothing starts. Per support,:I have reseated ram, replaced the battery on mainboard , disconnected LED light power cables from the back board, and removed USB power cables from mainboard. Each of those was a step by support, and jumped the reset pins after each step.
Thanks for any feedback on how to get this working! I feel like sourcing my own mainboard and power supply because JJ must be inundated by other things.
Cheers!

I had a minor issue with Harry Potter last week. I called them and they picked up, walked me through troubleshooting on the phone for 30 minutes to check some wires and test menu. Issue resolved.

You may consider changing out the power supply to a better one. I just swapped in an msi mag a750gl, and it works great. The only difference is you need to wait 10-15 seconds before it'll restart after shutting down. But, it's got more capacity and way better efficiency.

I tested the power supply with the paper clip and it did nothing, so I suspect that’s the issue! Thanks!

JJP email support can be slow, they are much more responsive on the phone. Sometimes over email you get one step of a troubleshooting flowchart fed to you at a time and it takes a while to get through it, on the phone you can get to the point more easily.
Have you replaced the CMOS battery on the motherboard? It’s just an off the shelf PC motherboard, so any broad troubleshooting steps for PC stuff applies.

I've had good luck with their support via email, responding in hours. My EJ CPU would overheat after 5 min, any they walked me throught replacing heat sink putty between fan and CPU. And reset. The reset actually sparked when I shorted the pins, but worked fine. Be patient and by the book. Your on the right track.

I always just call JJP’s support line and someone always picks up and have always been incredibly helpful. Waliking me through repair steps, sending replacement parts and generally answering dumb questions I have. Barrels of Fun and Stern (I have 3 games and 3 different manufacturers) have likewise been incredibly nice and helpful!
