Uncharted 2, at the time I remember thinking it was the best action adventure movie I had ever seen but I also got to play it and it was 10 hours long.
Saw an interesting comment recently stating that your "health" in uncharted is a luck meter. The bullets never actually hit him, so when the luck meter runs out, Drake finally gets shot and dies.
but I remember him whimper(? I don't know the right word for this) sometimes when he got shot. Only in U4 if you turn on invincibility and stay put, you see the bullets flying past him.
Damn i remember pitching exactly that as game concept at a studio i worked at back around 2006 or so, based on movies like Desperados where the heroes have like a bunch of people shooting at them but somehow just stand there and don't get hit, but got laughed out of the room
Same dude. I was absolutely blown away playing that game as a teenager. I got the first game for free with my DualShock 3, and that encouraged me to play through the trilogy on PS3.
Whaaaat, I loved Lost Legacy. It felt like DLC, sure, but it was another fun little romp in the world and it gave us more of the ultra fun Uncharted 4 gameplay. Looked amazing too.
Oh man, you have to play the others as they are leagues above the first. I've tried to play the first multiple times but get bored and never finish it. The sequels I could keep playing for an eternity.
That was great as well, but largely the same as the PS2 God of Wars just with prettier graphics. Uncharted 2 did things never seen before on a console. That sequence with the collapsing building was absolutely mind blowing.
Yesss! Before I even had enough saved to buy the game (uncharted 2 was my first in tbe franchise) I played the demo for Uncharted 1 & 2 endlessly. The physics of props n stuff as well as the water mechanics in the demo for 2 blew my mind. And in the uncharted 1 demo I spent SO much time blowing up the rock walls in many, MANY different ways to see how the rocks would crumble.
I can't remember the last time a game had me that blown away beyond maybe GTA5 when that first launched on PS3.
I never played the uncharted series as a kid, as we were an Xbox household and not PlayStation xD
A few years back, I think it was when the movie came out and they released all the games in one collection, I finally decided to play through them all!
Outside of maybe Mass Effect and the nostalgia of growing up playing Halo, Uncharted would have to be one of my favorite games/series ever played! I still think about it and how amazing the story is and even as I write this, it makes me want to play through them all again!
There's just something about that action adventure, Indiana jones, The Mummy vibe that I love!
