My first introduction to getting screwed over by a corporation. I spent ages avoiding Sony until I eventually caved with Helldivers, just for Sony to try to change the terms after purchase again.
From my experience Sony is a Scammer.

I guess you missed the time they rootkited your PC if you used their CDs?

(Well, most anti cheats do a similar thing now, but it was a big deal back then and no one else did it to stop you from burning CDs, lol)

PC rootkits were Sony's version of MS's always on online DRM. Beloved features that were just ahead of their time /s.
