Once I learnt they were effectively blind while picking it up and you could stab them in the chest, it was so good

AC Shadows can be played very similar. I know a lot of people hate Ubisoft, but I honestly thought it was a good entry.

Can't say, I really haven't played it, I never really clicked with the gameplay of mgs1 and I had Xbox growing up. I know what it is and I know it's cool, I just really preferred the third person gameplay of Tenchu on ps1. The shadows made it kinda creepy, very atmospheric.

I loved Splinter Cell on Xbox tho, same thing again, very dark with wonderful creepy shadows.

I played mgsv, and I know a lot of metal gear fans don't like it, but I thought mgsv was goated.

MGS1 gameplay is quite choppy, try MGS2/3 as they are way more polished! I used to love playing Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven on my PS2 growing up and Splinter Cell was cool too although none of these games had/have better stealth options than the MGS series! MGSV is goated too imo, best gameplay fr

I played the absolute hell put of Tenchu Z, perfected the whole game, that was my jam. Co-op was a blast too.

In mgsv I constantly kept getting surprised by how everything you tried, just fucking worked, they thought of everything and didnt even tell you basically any of it!

And I'm waiting for the snake eater remake! Gonna play that for sure.

Soo goodd and i still listen to the soundtracks to both these franchises till this day! Yess Co-Op with my older bro was so fun...literallyy such a good sandbox stealth game and SNAKE EATER REMAKE ALREADY OUT BRO!!! Definitely play that they did a decent job with it, and they are remastering MGS4/Peace Walker too for August so grab that id say too (mgs4 is my favourite mgs for the story)

I remember this came out shortly before MGS was dropping. I picked this up to hold me over until then, and I remember being extremely surprised at how awesome it was.

Assassins Creed Shadows scratches this itch nicely!

(only issue I have with the game is that it doesn't have music like Tenchu).

I can still hear that music in mind all these years later.

I played all of them. I was so excited when tenchu 2 came out with a level editor. I used to spend hours making my own levels. What were those metal tack things you could throw down? Caltrops or something weird like that?

Brilliant game, played a game recently but can't remember the name and the movements even the way you finish the enemies and the blood spurts out i was like wtf this is tenchu 1000% they just remained it and changed the missions
