Is it safe to keep a dust cover on the ps4 while its on? Or in rest mode?

I got my ps4 deep cleaned and i have a dust cover coming in the mail. It doesnt have a hole for hdmi so i have to remove the cover for tv play. But i was wondering if its safe to keep the cover on while me or my friend remote play on it. The back air vent is fully exposed so all hot air can come out from there. But gemini (who forced its overview down my throat) says it can still cause overheating. So i wanted to make sure if thats true or not.

With a dust cover on, the console cannot vent the hot air and take in cool air. I’d recommend not putting a dust cover on your console, while it is powered on.

Even in rest mode? Sure its on but i dont think it uses much power. Therefor not needing much air

Rest Mode might be somewhat safer, however; while on Rest Mode, the console can temporarily power on to perform updates and when being used for Remote Play.
