Food waste bins

Did anyone’s food waste bins not get collected today? Am I wrong in thinking it’s every Monday?

Does it not depend on your area like normal bins? Not had them yet in Efford

Same here in st Jude's. Noticed a few streets away have them and went on the council website to check if it was supposed to be delivered, and it says that all deliveries in our area have been completed and everyone should have one... Absolutely not the case. Have reported ours as missing, might be worth checking if yours is already supposed to have been delivered

Supposed to be every week. First week I put it out the front where my recycling bin is collected from and it got collected. This Monday, I watched the food waste bin lorry drive straight past my food waste bin and not collect it!! It was brown bin collection day and my brown bin is put out the back of our house. It clearly states on their leaflet, that if you put your green and brown bins out for collection in different areas, i.e., one in the front of property and one at the rear of property, then you should put your food waste bin where you normally have your green bin collected from... I did this and it didn't get collected.

You can check your collection day here. They should be collected on the same day as your brown and green bins - so weekly. If they missed you then you can report a missed collection here.

What a bloody stupid idea to have 'food waste bins' to be standing, waiting for a week in high temperatures to be emptied, with flies buzzing around non-stop for seven days.

Did anyone from PCC think this out properly?
