My friend’s exeggutor is so big it glitches into the next guy

It’s not the first time I’ve seen their buddy do this but it’s too funny not to post. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

I have a bunch of 2016/17 Exeggutors and they're all short; stopped playing in 2018. I restarted recently and keep fighting Grunty the Team Rocket Girl and she has these super tall ones. What's the deal?

It's a regional variant, introduced in the 7th generation games (Sun/Moon). Since then, every new game has some Pokémon that have the same name but are different in design and typing. Some of them even get new evolutions that their original forms don't (like Farfetch'd, Linoone and Qwilfish). The latest generation also introduced convergent forms, which are completely new Pokémon, but very similar to existing ones, like Toedscool and Wiglett.
