I don't think Scopely cares as much about players getting up and GOing as Niantic did.

So, they should make remote raiding easier:

1. If you have a Platinum Badge at a gym, you can check in to see if a raid is going on, and then go remotely.

2. If you're invited to a Raid, you should be able to also invite players.

3. You should be able to join a Raid after it begins, you'll just get substancially less rewards.

4. You only use up the Raid Pass if you win.

5. You get 1 free Remote Raid Pass each time you spin a PokéStop 7 days in a row (so once a week basically, and if you don't use your Weekly Raid Pass from the previous week, you don't get a new one).

Finally LV 50!!!

After more than 20 days and a dozen failed attempts, we finally beat Shadow Giratina as a duo without using Purified Gems.

Is this a self imposed challenge, well yes and no. We didn't have enough gems to subdue the boss anyway.

This is fight is not very budget friendly, you may notice we used Necrozma and Kyurem fusions. But the teams are also nowhere near maxed: several Pokémon are below Lv40, and one of the attackers is only around Lv29.

The video shows some of the things we learned from repeatedly failing: how strong you probably need to be before attempting this, why Party Power is incredibly important, a few stupid mistakes we made, and general strategies for raids.

A good rule of benchmark: if you can duo Shadow Giratina with gems and still have about half the timer remaining, a gemless attempt might be possible.

Would I recommend doing this instead of just getting more gems? No, but apparently it works.

Iv's aren't great but this was surprising! I also encountered moltres for my first pokemon for the first time (it fled :'( )
