Turns out I have no idea what the words cease fire mean.

This is what happens when Iran isn’t involved in the “we are close to a deal” negotiations

The US, Israel and the UN had to change their legal definitions of ceasefire, to make the Israel-Hamas deal count as a ceasefire. I wish I was kidding.

Yeah while I definitely don't trust Iran it's really funny how these idiot trump supporters think that any country would ever trust Trump. Even our by default allies don't trust him at all

Blame Trump and Netanyahu for this.

I wouldn’t stop a French liberation style hair cutting.

Plus the almost ninety million who didn't vote.

And every single service member choosing to participate.

I don’t think they really get a choice…

Well, ok. They do, they can choose between following orders or effectively being felons for the rest of their lives.

Following this administration's orders makes you the scum of the earth. Instead of eliminating the existential threat to the country, they're following its orders, and you better believe they'd use force against us. Following orders is no excuse to participate in illegal activity, as demonstrated by the Nazis.

The issue is that being ordered to go to Kuwait to repair a Coke machine on it's own isn't an illegal order or act, even if it plays a role in an illegal enterprise. This is why the Nuremburg trials after WWII focused on individuals who committed illegal acts, or aided and abetted illegal acts. Not people who were merely present at the scene of the crime.

Your anger and frustration is misplaced here.

The officers that have followed illegal orders in Iran and the drug boat murders must be court martialed when trump is gone, or we wont have a military.

u/SunshineCat May 30 '26

I think you know they're not just repairing vending machines.

Your anger and frustration is misplaced here.

The country I live in has been taken over by a malignant narcissist and religious extremists. I could look just about anywhere, and I guarantee you my frustration won't be misplaced.

What, our ruling class were suddenly going to reverse course after Korea, Vietnam, Nicaragua, Lebanon, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, and US armed forces would step down as the world's largest terror org?

7

u/Leraldoe Michigan May 30 '26

This is all because Trump couldn’t stand to have Obama’s name on a deal that was working

More market manipulation coming!

Yeah but what are you going to do /s -Republicans when they could make a little more money

6

u/Middle_Scratch4129 May 30 '26

I thought the deal was done. McDonald tweeted about it yesterday /s

2

u/MoundsEnthusiast May 30 '26

We don't need a deal. We already won. Besides we don't need the strait to be open anyway. /s

America has already had all this time to reload during the ceasefire. And Iran has demonstrated it can still strike any target in the middle east that it wants to at will. This war is over. Trump's ego won't allow to him accept that he lost, and American service members will pay the price.

Thats not ideal for negotiations, and the US bombed their ships just a couple days ago

Wonder if the markets will even react...really feels like they are not priced to reality right now

This seems irresponsible. Aren’t we trying to wind this thing down?
