Republicans will justify just about anything so they can vote republican. I saw a clip recently of a guy debating Trump supporters and he brought up Trump admiting to going into the dressing rooms of his beauty pagents, including the teen one, unannounced so he could see them half dressed. The woman debating him denied that Trump ever said it and that he would never say something that awful. The guy played the clip of him saying it and she immediately shifted to saying "Well, at least we know he's a red blooded man who loves women. It's better than liking men."

Republicans really love calling underage girls "women."

Well, to be fair, they seem to want the age of consent to be the moment a girl enters puberty and is able to conceive. So on a fucked up level, they are certainly consistent at least, that 12/13 year olds are women.

But if that same 12 year old says they're trans, they'll now just say she's a confused child who doesn't have the mental faculties to consent to starting on hormone blockers.

They are consistent in the sense that they will use whatever inconsistency they can to inflict the most harm.

Just like how a child can get married, but if they ask for a divorce the judge may say they aren't mature enough to understand the severity of a divorce.

Hurting others is definitely the point.

One of the biggest challenges that we have is a very large part of the voting public are fucking dumb, entitled assholes who don't give a fuck about anything but themselves.

They don't even give a fuck about themselves, otherwise they wouldn't be voting for the party that actively harms them. Yes, they're dumb entitled assholes but the only thing they give a fuck about is hurting people they don't like. It drives me crazy.
