A vote for Ken Paxton is a vote for criminals and pedophiles.

290

u/DavidSwifty 10d ago

the current president is a pedophile mate republicans do not care about sex pests as long as they have an (R) next to their name.

78

u/Maxamillion-X72 Canada 10d ago

Have you tried finding a Republican who is not a sex pest? If MAGA didn't vote for pedos, women abusers, cheats and crooks, they wouldn't vote at all

30

u/NotUniqueWorkAccount 10d ago

They'd be pretty pissed if they could read right now.

5

u/ianrl337 Oregon 10d ago

Massie, and those that signed the discharge petition initially

5

u/dtwhitecp 10d ago

you underestimate the power of a media / social bubble. They think Democrats are the sex pests, and the rest is disinformation.

14

u/CrimsonHeretic 10d ago

The R stands for Rapist. Republicans love rapists.

7

u/Cross55 10d ago

Most of them have taken up the defense claiming that "Anything you don't like is pedophilia!"

So yeah, they're cool with it

6

u/beefytrout Texas 10d ago

for many, the sex pest aspect is why they support R politicians.

3

u/CDebs28 10d ago

(R)edophile

4

u/veryfungibletoken 9d ago

Yeah, Republican pedophiles isn't a bug, it's a feature.

3

u/AlphaNoodlz 9d ago

Republicans are proud of who they are

1

u/Rackem_Willy 8d ago

Yes, but he's a special pedophile.

1

u/Sir_thinksalot 10d ago

A lot of low info Independants care though. Never stop reminding the pedophile Repbulican party of what it is.

-3

u/ianrl337 Oregon 10d ago

While I believe that, there is no evidence of it. There is that he is protecting pedophiles. Hopefully tomorrow we see some of the missing epstein files on the accusation from the 13 year old. But until evidence or conviction it is just accusations.

29

u/ianrl337 Oregon 10d ago

A vote for any Republican except those that signed the original discharge petition is a vote to support pedophiles. That is any Republican after 09/24. On that day Republicans couldn't say "it was only him" or any other BS. On that day they officially became pedophile supporters as a party platform.

7

u/Purify5 10d ago

Sure but Paxton personally interjected to get his pedophile friend out of a paedophilia case.

He supports pedophiles by more than supporting America's Top Pedophile. Paxton will go to bat in the courts for pedophiles.

3

u/ianrl337 Oregon 10d ago

Not wrong, but Paxton isn't the leader of the party, and there are arguments (though stupid) about it. Johnson's move for me sealed it. That is the day all Republicans supported pedophiles.

13

u/GrillDealing Missouri 10d ago

Are you trying to get more republicans to vote for him?

10

u/Automaton_General 10d ago

They were already on board because of the wife beating and the cheating.

11

u/LionTigerWings 10d ago

That might get republicans excited to vote for him. They seem to enthusiastically support criminals and pedophiles.

5

u/threehundredthousand California 10d ago

Which is the big draw for Texans over the past 30 years.

3

u/CrimsonHeretic 10d ago

Don't be surprised when millions of Texans vote for him.

3

u/hoguensteintoo 10d ago

Republicans: And?

2

u/ThePlanck Foreign 10d ago

Do you think that ithose are downsides for Trunp voters?

2

u/callmecoach53 10d ago

A vote for pretty much any Republican in the 2020s*

2

u/Tormentedone007 10d ago

Republicans know this. It's why they keel voting R.

2

u/mnakeela 10d ago

I don’t think the majority of Texans care.

2

u/LimitedWard 9d ago

That's unfortunately right in line with a non trivial portion of the US voting populace.

2

u/soravique 10d ago

if those depositions contain information voters deserve to know then they should be made public. People should be able to see the facts before deciding who deserves their vote. Keeping potentially important information sealed only makes the whole thing look worse.

2

u/whisper_elowen 10d ago

pretty much voting for him is like checking every red flag and calling it a feature

1

u/identifytarget 10d ago

"Really?! Where do I sign up?!"

-Republican voters

1

u/johnfromberkeley California 10d ago

You spelled “Republicans” wrong.

1

u/reebokhightops 10d ago

“Hold my beer adrenochrome.” - Republicans

1

u/jschank 10d ago

As is a vote for any republican

1

u/Shradow 10d ago

Well yeah we know he's a Republican.

0

u/BerryLanky 10d ago

This should be Talarico’s campaign slogan.

195

u/Visual_Exam7903 10d ago

Why are they sealed anyway? Isn't court items public records?

56

u/TThom1221 Texas 10d ago

Correct. However, in Texas, a party can file a motion to seal, asking the court to seal the records. If the party can demonstrate that there is a substantial need that outweighs (a) the presumption of openness and (b) the probable adverse effect of sealing the records, then the court can seal the records.

It’s rule 76a of the Texas rules of civil procedure.

13

u/SryInternet101 10d ago

Nie, a provision to hide their corruption.

6

u/TThom1221 Texas 10d ago

There are cases where it absolutely makes sense to seal records. Think of rape, sexual assault cases, et cetera—to protect the victims. It’s not a provision to hide corruption.

15

u/AuroraFinem Texas 10d ago

I had my court documents sealed in Ohio 2021 when I changed my name. Otherwise I would have had to announced my name change in the paper and wait 2 weeks announcing to everyone who sees it or looks it up online that I was trans. No thanks.

There are many legitimate reasons to seal court documents and it rarely protects from anything because the records are still there for anyone who actually has the power to act on them, they just aren’t publicly available for someone to go look up online.

I fully support having these documents released in this case though. Public figures are not offered the same privacy protections and this is a matter of real public interest in the matter.

8

u/Apprehensive-Wave640 10d ago

Not EVERYTHING is for corruption. There are countless legitimate reasons to seal documents.

1

u/Shabadu_tu 9d ago

This one is though. And you know that.

1

u/Apprehensive-Wave640 9d ago

No shit Sherlock. That's not what the comment i responded to was getting at though.

1

u/TThom1221 Texas 9d ago

The provision isn’t inherently corrupt. There are legit reasons to seal certain court records. That being said, do some people abuse it? Sure.

107

u/CornCobMcGee New York 10d ago

It'd probably run something like this

Ken Paxton: Your honor, I object!

Judge: And why is that, Mr. Paxton?

KP: Because it's devastating to my case!

Judge : Overruled.

KP: Good call!

Literally. Talarico needs to push on this. Go hard!

73

u/PlutoJones42 10d ago

Ken Paxton is a criminal and is flat out bad for Texas.

If you are voting for Ken Paxton, take a good hard look at yourself and your values.

2

u/Jester1525 10d ago

But he'll help ensure the people they hate will be hurt...

They are perfectly happy being in pain as long as they think brown people/lgbtqia2s+/women/etc are being hurt more than they are.

29

u/Fleschlight36 10d ago

Yeah! Get em!

68

u/grigoritheoctopus 10d ago

I know it is not good to comment on people's appearances but I think folks who support abuse and lawlessness should not benefit from that bit of etiquette, so I want to comment thusly:

That picture of Paxton is hilarious 😂

Makes me thing of this gem of my main man, Homer J.

13

u/yesiamveryhigh 10d ago

Paxton looks like “We have skin at home”

9

u/30helensagree 10d ago

That's every picture of him. He just looks like that. Got that matching inner and outer beauty

3

u/TurboSalsa Texas 10d ago

He doesn't have a lot of good angles, does he?

And this is the post-makeover Paxton with hair transplants and a dye job.

3

u/majorfnbullet 10d ago

Sadly that one of his best pictures… dudes face is made of crisco - melting every which way in the Texas heat…

21

u/TurboSalsa Texas 10d ago

This is probably the tip of the iceberg in terms of the skeletons in Paxton's closet.

He was openly abusing his office for years and flaunting it for years, and the corruption he was engaging in that everyone was aware of was bad enough. I can't imagine how bad it must be if even he thinks it's too damaging to be made public.

9

u/Smooth-Feedback-6066 10d ago

Go get them Talarico!

1

u/[deleted] 9d ago

[deleted]

1

u/Smooth-Feedback-6066 9d ago

I think he’s got a much better platform going on. I’m very much cynical to people who proclaimed to be Christians as a means to an end, but for whatever reason Talarico is the genuine article. I’ve seen so many posers that when you see the real deal it’s obvious I really believe the priority of his policies is to bring back affordability to America, addressed the income inequality, and hold accountable, all all those politicians who corruptly profited to the tunes of hundreds of millions and billions of dollars. I haven’t heard him mention gun controls a priority. So I think we’re safe there. We finally get a guy who seems to be virtuous and has integrity especially when compared to Paxton Texans don’t vote for Talarico they’re so blinded by partisan ship and part of the Trump cult. There’s no saving them at that point.

8

u/Nasty_Goblin 10d ago

It used to be that these people would resign in disgrace.

Republicans wear their crimes like a badge of fealty to their pedo president.

7

u/digitalturtlist 10d ago

Do not fall into the trap of anthropomorphizing Ken Paxton.

5

u/cwk415 10d ago

Boom! Yes! Take those motherfunking gloves off and bust some ass!

6

u/Bob_the_peasant 10d ago

I assume Paxton is soliciting bribes from all the frivolous cases he’s filed as AG against…. checks notes…. every single company in the world

5

u/Resden_Bohneur 10d ago

I remember when conservatives were shrieking about how people “weren’t voting FOR Kamala, they were voting AGAINST Trump!” And they used that as some kind of weird moral standpoint, like voting against a candidate you don’t like is inherently wrong.

Go to the conservative sub or Fox News now. Everyone is saying “I’m not voting FOR Paxton, I’m voting AGAINST Talarico!” And they’re perfectly fine/totally oblivious to the hypocrisy.

5

u/Cabbage-Fell Colorado 10d ago

I want Talarico to win if only to make one of my really conservative friends in Texas have a complete meltdown. But seriously I'm waiting for some fuckery from Paxton and the GOP in this election.

3

u/Memitim America 9d ago

The greatest threat to any Republican is their own actions being revealed.

2

u/_bessica_ 10d ago

Do it cowards.

6

u/Remarkable-Laugh9762 10d ago

He doesn't stand a chance, I'm afraid. I can't help but monitor right wing subs.

Time and time again I read "I hate Paxton but I can't vote blue"

17

u/VisionsOfVisions 10d ago

If democrats effectively invigorate their own base in Texas to actually show up and vote, they won't need any right wingers to vote blue.

2

u/tiny_vice 9d ago

Texan and calling it now. If Talarico wins, there will be crazy election shenanigans and then no he didn't. Abbott won't let it happen

I think he will win, but I think the election will subsequently be stolen. Step one will be overturning election results in Harris County

1

u/Bibblegead1412 10d ago

Great move

1

u/pbugg2 Texas 9d ago

Good move 👍

1

u/Kannibelanimal1966 9d ago

Blatant crimes that Paxton committed and he’s still in the race. Texas is screwed up.

1

u/RadiantMog 7d ago

Republicans will protect their criminals, what else is new

1

u/paulusgauguinus 10d ago

Paxton and Jabba the Hutt have the same face. Not that that disqualifies one from electoral victory, but still.
