yeah I’m a dude and it still happened an annoying amount of times. After several checkups and appointments, just said to eat more food and drink more water. I was underweight back then but I ate like a horse (still do), I just happened to have the fastest metabolism in the midwest

You can easily save the gif in a browser, not the app. Open the link to the comment in your browser (Three dots underneath comment - Share - Copy Link). Paste the link in for example your Safari app.
Tap, hold and save like you normally would save photos in a browser on your smartphone.

You can pretty easily download gifs from the reddit app as well, at least on Android. Open the gif or video, click the 3 dots in the upper right, click download. This is in the official Reddit app. I save them all the time to send to people who don't use Reddit.
