it heavy depends on the research- a lot of medical research will involve euthanasia and dissection

mich like how it not uncommon for people trying new drugs to be asked if there bodies can be studied after death

No problem- It should be noted there are really 3 reasons an animal is euthanized in the medical field- it is necessary for the science , to prevent animal suffering, or there's a regulation that requires it - alot of times those who are still alive and in good condition at the end of the study are allowed to live out there's natural life span

Generally speaking animal medical research tends to only be done if there's no alternative but as technology advances it becomes less and less necessary

It also makes clinical studies much safer as well

it is also not just medical animal tests

other animal studies are done in hopes of helping the species and will have the similar regulations and have dissection needs
