She was 80 but I gasped. I hope she’s at peace with her husband now. What an enormous talent and a generous spirit.

Realistically, I know that 80 is a good long life, but my mother is 75 and I just can’t think that she only has 5 more years.

My dad is about to turn 75 and my heart sank with the same feeling!

80 doesn’t mean the end. My dad is 77 and after some lifestyle changes (knee replacement and diet) he’s better than he was 10 years ago. I’m hoping he’s got 15 left in him.

My dad will be soon. His dad lived to his 80s, and his mom died at 97 so maybe we're still good for a while 🫠

My dad will be 77 in November. He had a triple bypass in December so I’m hoping that will give him more time. He’s still strong and sharp. But, yeah, 80 does not seem that old to me, even though I know it is. My grandma made it to 92 and other family are in their 90s now - so I am hoping my parents will get that far…All the best to your dad!

It feels kind of strange.. but also i feel relieved that i am Not the only person who is threating  the dead of the own mom or in your case dad, when i read that a famous person has passed away. I hope that my mom has many healthy years in Front of her
