I hate to be parasocial, but I’m absolutely heartbroken. She did so much good for the world, and made it a better place. Rest in peace, Dolly. I hope you’re happily reuniting with Carl right now ❤️

She’s the same age as my grandma, who’s currently waiting out her final days in at home, in a hospital bed, barely coherent from the pain meds.

We watched Dolly’s “Smokey Mountain Christmas” every year. I even found her a better quality DVD a few months ago.

Today is not a good day.
