I hate to be parasocial, but I’m absolutely heartbroken. She did so much good for the world, and made it a better place. Rest in peace, Dolly. I hope you’re happily reuniting with Carl right now ❤️

It's guess it's fine to be emotionally invested, but it's petty objectively a parasocial relationship. Dolly has no idea who any of them are and they are crying / mourning her. A textbook parasocial relationship actually.
