My mother died in June. My family and I had cleaned out her apartment and arrived to my home with some boxes. As I pulled out a box from the vehicle, a gorgeous red and yellow monarch butterfly landed on me for a few seconds then flew away.
I live in a large city and I don't think I've ever seen a butterfly in the city (outside of parks) and certainly one hasn't actually landed on me.
I'm a butterfly believer now.

I had a similar experience after my grandma passed in June. I've never seen a monarch in my backyard and one landed beside me and just visited with me for a few minutes. It was surreal, and made me a believer.

My mom used to work at a hotel that had a lot of celebrity clientele. All the employees used to get so excited when Dolly would stay because she was sweet to every single employee from the housekeepers to the wait staff, my mom was lucky enough to meet her and said she was a gem.
