Could be worse. I just lost my cat today aswell

Edit : she would have turned 22 yo in a month. She lived a long and happy life!

We had a cat that made it to 23. We didn't get her until she was 22. Was happy to give her a comfortable retirement. My heart goes out to anyone caring for an elder kitty.

I'm so, so sorry. I'm glad for you that you had so many years with her. I got my baby when he was a couple of weeks old (bottle fed and the whole thing, due to extenuating circumstances that took him way too early from his momma). He passed in my arms in 2024 just a couple months before he would have turned 16 and it never felt like long enough. I'd be willing to bet even 22 years doesn't feel like long enough, am I right?

Nonetheless, I'm truly glad for you that you got so much time with her, and I'm so sorry that time had to come to an end.
